About this Blog
I started blogging about three years ago after attending a seminar where I was told that those who don’t have blogs are “missing the boat.” So I half-heartedly started a real estate blog. I quickly became bored (apparently so did many other Realtors judging by the wasteland of abandoned real estate blogs littering cyberspace!) and decided I was going to simply write about whatever was on my mind. The audience I envisioned were my friends, family and perhaps a few close clients who lived outside of Charleston. I shared my thoughts about life, faith, friends, family, and a few aspects of real estate that I found important. I soon realized that I loved it!
After I stopped churning out posts about real estate, I was shocked to discover that people (other than my perceived audience) were reading what I wrote. Several of my clients first “met” me through my blog and ended up contacting me to help them find (or sell) a home. Frankly, I was really surprised! I figured that people looking for real estate only read “real estate blogs”. It was cool to connect with clients who would speak to me like we were old friends. I’ve made other friends through my blog who have nothing to do with business. Who knew blogging would be this rewarding?!
Life in the Lowcountry is the result of my blog explorations. It is mainly a celebration of the things that are important to me. It’s a reflection of our lives on Daniel Island. And it’s my way of journaling the little moments that make up our lives.
I hope you enjoy your time here!
